    For all of this to happen for students, an IEP must be written correctly. There are many requirements for what must be included in an IEP. There are many elements that must be included in an IEP. There are obvious things like the student's name and identifying information. Also, the date the special services will begin, where the services will be provided, and the length of time these services will extend. Locations where these services may be administered include schools, homes and/or hospitals. The age at which services can begin is 3 years old and ends at 21 years old. Another thing that will be included in the IEP is a statement about the child's current academic achievement and functional performance. This may include how the child's disability affects their performance in the general education classroom, or how a child may be unable to participate in certain activities.
