    Being late is never acceptable, whatever the circumstances, especially when it comes to one's duties and responsibilities . I for one have learned my lesson when it comes to being on time and I will use all my past knowledge and abilities to never let this happen again. Being on time is my duty as an American soldier. As an American soldier, I must be on time for everything my superiors assign to me, whether it is six forty-five or twenty-one hundred. I know, as a mature adult, the importance of being on time. I will never lower my self-esteem as a person to the point that I will be late again in the future. I will always use all my resources to ensure that delays are never an issue in the future. It is also important to be on time to show that you are following your superior's orders. Being late shows a lack of respect and responsibility. I will always do my best to have the utmost respect for my NCOs, whether I agree with their decision or not. It's my job as a soldier to do what I'm asked. Being on time is one of the most important things I have to do every day to show respect to my
