Leaders also face external challenges beyond their control. In this dynamically changing world, keeping up with technological advancements is the major challenge faced by leaders. The speed of change we are experiencing can hamper the ability of leaders to adapt their vision to changing circumstances. Globalization is another challenge facing leaders because any action taken elsewhere will impact the actions of leaders around the world. On the other hand, managers fail to understand customer needs due to their rapidly changing needs and expectations. Thus, meeting customer needs becomes a difficult task.
