It can be difficult for some of us to know when to say enough is enough. Know that even if you don't feel ready, it's time to put yourself first. You are truly important, you need to take care of yourself first to start helping others in need. To begin, I would like to give a list of important words that I will use such as affable, cultivate, languish and clamor. All of this means that you should care more about yourself than others. Get an Original Essay The Value of Helping Yourself Before Others First of all, no one will take care of you as well as you take care of yourself. When we care deeply about someone, we are likely to go to extreme measures to ensure that person is as happy as possible. Sometimes when care is not reciprocated, we feel hurt that others were not willing to make the same efforts for us. Things like loyalty, happiness, and caring cannot be measured, and we cannot be annoyed when it happens because the other person is simply exercising a choice; we are not responsible for – or able to control – the actions of others. Instead, we can invest more in ourselves, and once we achieve positive results, we can invest in others. It's hard to ignore the noise in this crazy world and pay attention to what you know you need. There are so many conflicting outside forces that can get in the way, from friends to family to partners to all the other influences that sneak into your head. When things get tough and you don't know where to turn, it's important to remember that you are your own best resource. It is imperative that you have confidence in yourself because the truth is that no one knows you better. For example, mothers are an exception to this rule. As much as people claim “ride or die” for certain individuals; we all have our own lives to lead. People are the only ones who know themselves and how to make themselves happy. Others don't know how people feel inside and how their lives are going. No one knows you better than yourself. Reciprocity of Help: A Harsh Reality Second of Overall, people don't always reciprocate, people you've helped in the past won't always be willing to reciprocate in times of need . It was a hard pill to swallow because of the way I was raised. The Golden Rule is important in my life, and I thought that if I treated people well, I would automatically get that in return. Well, I learned the hard way that even if you receive a blessing, it doesn't always come from those you have blessed. I have helped a lot in my life; I did them a favor and not just money. I love helping people emotionally and mentally. For example, one day my best friend was really sad because she failed a math test, she was worried she would fail that class. I passed the math test,so I told her that I would tutor her and help her until she got the test materials. My best friend studied and studied until her brain felt like it was going to explode from so much information. After days and days of studying, she took her test again and when she finished, she was so happy. What I thought was bad was that she didn't even thank me, the only thing she said was that she passed the test without help, she was so mean. People are treated in life the same way they teach others to treat them, the same way they allow others to treat them. By constantly saying "yes" to others when deep down people actually mean saying "no", and by constantly putting aside their own needs and desires just so people can meet the needs and desires of those that surround them. People are sending the wrong message to themselves and everyone around them. Through your approval-seeking behavior, you are telling yourself and the world that you are not enough and that you need the approval of others to feel whole, loved, and validated. The Power of Self-Care Finally, putting your needs first can improve your self-esteem. This can improve your self-esteem because you will be happier with the choices you make for yourself. If people continue to help others and never focus on themselves, they will not be happy and their self-esteem will decrease. With this, people's self-esteem will decrease, they will have emotional problems, for example, depression/sadness, anxiety and many more. Prioritizing yourself means making sure you take care of your mental and physical well-being. We cannot change something if we do not recognize that there is something to change. By simply becoming aware of our negative self-talk, we begin to distance ourselves from the feelings it arouses. This allows us to identify less with them. Without this awareness, we can easily fall into the trap of believing our self-limiting speeches, and as meditation teacher Allan Lokos says: “Don't believe everything you think. Thoughts are just that: thoughts. . -The important truth is that if people do not take care of themselves, both physically and mentally, they can find themselves facing an insurmountable setback. Energy, enthusiasm and motivation are not bottomless pits. People need to understand that it's not being selfish, it's taking care of yourself, people have never heard the term "you don't have to set yourself on fire to keep yourself warm". The sacrifice is to set yourself on fire to keep others warm. This means you burn alive, while others are protected from anything that could harm them. It's pretty crazy if you think about it. It's even more insane when you realize everything you've done. However, some people say that you should put the needs of others before your own. These people say putting people's needs first is because compassion helps people focus less on themselves and more on helping others. People say that if you don't put the needs of others first, you are a selfish and bad person. They are wrong because taking care of yourself is very important because if you don't take care of yourself you will not feel happy, and if you are not happy how will you make others happy. Putting yourself first means being as kind to yourself as you are to others. People shouldn't feel selfish for not thinking of others first, because they should realize that they make themselves happy. That
