    Summary and Application of ErrorsSummary Throughout this article, we will discuss the relative meanings of errors and the importance they have as they relate to critical thinking and the processes of decision making. In the process of critical thinking, errors tend to play a very important role in this process. By definition, an error is a statement or argument based on a false or invalid reference (American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language). As you continue reading this article, we will begin to define the importance that logical fallacies play in the role of critical thinking and decision-making. Summary and Application of Logical Fallacies From the main list of logical fallacies, I have chosen four different fallacies which I will go into detail and discuss further. As I mentioned in the summary, errors play a key role in critical thinking and decision-making processes. We use misconceptions every day to persuade individuals to take one side or another in an argument. We also use misconceptions to attract people in different ways, such as emotions, authority, and ignorance. The four fallacies that I will discuss throughout this article are the slippery slope fallacy, the false dilemma fallacy, the post hoc ergo propter fallacy, and the straw man fallacy. slope error. In business, it becomes very important for us to realize that there are no gray areas or in-between areas. When it comes to business, our decisions and critical thinking process are often well-defined and clear. On the other hand, are they really that clear? Are they really defined this way?
