Robots for humans: do we really need them?Introduction:Scientific progress is taking enormous steps towards the development of new advanced technologies that are increasingly present in human life. Today, robots are replacing humans in many fields such as healthcare, security and military, industry, education, entertainment and science. The role of robots is becoming more important as they are able to perform tasks that humans are not able to perform well. Sometimes people are too lazy to do some routine work. Due to this situation, these tasks can be delegated to machines. People's lives are now more technology-based, which increases the demand for efficient robots. Engineers say that today robots look like machines, but in the near future robots will have a more human appearance, today they perform simple work, but in the near future tasks much more complicated will be entrusted to them. The history of robotics goes way back in history where the ancient Greeks described the first devices that people were projected to fly into the sky like birds. In fact, the heart of any robot is a program that directs the device and controls its actions. The robot cannot perform tasks that have not been programmed and this is a factor that makes it quite limited in its actions. Current studies in robotics aim to eliminate these drawbacks and make robots more functional and universal through the development of artificial intelligence capable of operating independently. The global community's curiosity about robotics is increasing every day, making all robotics research and inventions more in demand. The history of robots, felt achievements and future prospects of robotics need to be studied and researched to understand what machines can bring to humanity and what advantages and disadvantages exist middle of paper......botique .megagiant.com/history.html (accessed October 30, 2011). • K.-D Bouzakis and S.Mitsi, Offline programming of an industrial robot for manufacturing, Spinger-Verlag London Limited, 2004, 262-267 (accessed October 30, 2011) • Khoshhal K. and MH Korayem, Vision based Simulation and Experiment for Performance Tests of Robots.Spinger-Verlag London Limited, 2004,1218-1231.
