Essay / Reflection on the Bhagavad Gita - 2733
Above all, the soul is eternal; it cannot be killed or destroyed. Second, everyone must always fulfill their duty. This is the way of life, if you are a warrior you must kill or if you are a teacher you must teach. Finally, after knowing the themes, style, and other literary analysis, we can finally answer the question of why the verses were written. Arjuna's situation is an analogy for us. Lord Krishna is trying to tell us that we can either be in Arjuna's position (having to kill someone) or on the other side of the road (getting killed). But we don't have to worry in any situation. Because this is not the end, our Atman will continue to live forever but what we will get next is based on our karma, if we have lived properly by God then we have achieved good karma and will have a good next life and step further towards liberation from samsara but if we have not lived correctly according to God because of our dualistic world, that is why Lord Krishna teaches us the different ways of attaining moksha in the rest of Bhagavad.
