The information I have read and new facts I have learned about the history of schools in the United States will definitely carry over into the classroom. I will teach students to appreciate what they have today by using examples of what students did not have in the 17th century. A project with the students divided into groups and assigned to different centuries to learn this would help educate them better. This can help them understand the history of what got them to where they are today. I will also use what I learned from this research to improve my understanding so that I can teach students what they need to know by having the appropriate knowledge on this topic.
