  • Essay / My strengths and strengths in my life - 1113

I have never taken the time to really sit down and look at myself as a person. I tend to think inside the box: I'm either good or bad. I don't take into consideration all the different parts of me. By taking test after test, I have learned so many attributes and strengths that I see and it gives me hope that I can succeed in school, work and in my personal life by focusing on my strengths and working on what already works for me. My Strengths Finder test results are: Futuristic, Deliberative, Disciplined, Consistent, and Restorative. I definitely agree with the futurist. My future is what motivates me. I always think about what I can do now to create a better, brighter future for myself and to be successful and happy. I also agree with the deliberative. I tend to be a serious person and am always looking for the next mistake so I can fix or prevent it immediately. I don't like it when things go wrong, which is weird because I tend to procrastinate and that usually goes hand in hand. Discipline is something that is very important to me and I agree with that 100%. I like to have a plan and I like for every part of that plan to have a plan. Being organized and ready for what's next is important to me, so I think this is very true to my personality. Consistency is another attribute that describes me quite well. I like balance and I like when people are treated fairly. Finally, there is the repairer. I like to solve problems and find a solution when needed, although I don't necessarily look for a problem to try to solve it. I tend to resolve problems when they are brought to my attention. The next test I took was the Learning Styles Assessment. I have discovered that Visual is my primary method of learning...... middle of paper ...... me. I think coming out with a certificate and an associate's degree with good grades will make me feel accomplished and successful. Additionally, it will help me transfer to a university to continue my studies in business and open more doors for my career. Long-term goal: I want to save $4,000 by September 2016 so I can trade in my car and buy a new Toyota hybrid. I thought about buying a new car and what I should buy and came to the conclusion that getting a hybrid would be my best option. I want to attend Seattle U after I finish RTC and it will be a long commute since I want to live at home. I think this will help me a lot and save me money on gas. It will also add responsibilities to my plate paying for a car and I'm totally up for that as more responsibilities are part of growing up and becoming an adult..
