"West Side Story" directed by Jerome Robbins and Robert Wise is a plot based on two groups, the Sharks and the Jets, who feud due to racial differences in 1950s New York. Two characters from each group find love and end a lasting feud. Although people may believe that love is surmountable, it takes time for that to happen and in both storylines they didn't have time so love had to end. Arguments and actions between two opposing groups can cause a relationship to fail, as evidenced in "Romeo and Juliet" and "West Side Story." The most apparent problem in the play Romeo and Juliet was a family feud, which caused problems between them. both families. First, the reader may discover that the family feud actually had no known reason why it started, so, in theory, there was no real reason why they were fighting. During Act 1 of Romeo and Juliet, William Shakespeare quotes: “The quarrel is between our masters and we, their men” (Shakespeare). Although they know that they are feuding with each other, the Capulets and the Montagues, the men don't really give a specific reason as to why it started or why it continues.
