Essay / Communication is the key to teamwork - 1963
There are many different benefits to having a diverse dynamic within a team. Communication seems to be the key to making a team dynamic work. A team is above all an interpersonal relationship with many potential advantages as well as pitfalls. The dynamic can often cause conflict within this team, which can negatively affect team performance. It's common for team members to try to ignore or bury problems out of a desire not to create a scene. This can be very destructive as the issues go unresolved. There are specific steps that can be taken to resolve this conflict. When it comes to solving a problem, the methods for doing so can be as dynamic as the team itself. Dynamics are the forces at play that influence the behavior of a group. Feelings of inclusion or exclusion and who is responsible for what or how happy they are with it are some of the dynamics. The way the meeting room or office is set up, openly or in cubicles, can affect the way a team communicates. Enabling hidden or secondary communication over open group communication can harm a team and its attitude. Rewards and recognition for great ideas and a job well done must be given fairly and equitably. No one should have more privileges than others on a team. This could fuel feelings of resentment toward other members of that team. How a team solves problems, company policies, or the “status quo” can also affect team performance (Team 2013). Team dynamics provide great benefits when it comes to social interaction and communication. The social benefits of team dynamics include interactive learning, exchanging different ideas, sharing opinions, supporting team members in case of problems... in the middle of a document ...... heir or with the help of a mediator (2011, p. . 158, paragraph 2). As the old adage goes, “prevention is better than cure.” The dynamics of a team can be very diverse. Sometimes it's good and sometimes it's bad. It is very important to extinguish all problems early on, otherwise they will remain buried and slowly grow into something that becomes out of proportion. It is important to protect the team from this by implementing a system of routine meetings and team rules where people have the opportunity to discuss and resolve potential issues in an open and impartial forum.
