Essay / Negative Effects of Global Warming on Earth - 805
Introductory ParagraphImagine longer summers, shorter winters, with no spring or fall in between. Well, you don't need to either, because it's happening right now. It will only take one more degree for spring and autumn to disappear forever. This decade has been the warmest since 1880. Scientists say Earth could be an additional 7.2 degrees Fahrenheit warmer by the 21st century if we don't reduce the use of fossil fuels. Climate change also adds additional risks to our food supplies. Scientists say they are already seeing the harmful effects in certain regions. Melting polar ice would become another major effect of global warming if not stopped, which could cause problems for many lives on Earth, not just humans. Thesis Statement Global warming has a negative effect on the Earth; Will animals become extinct, including polar bears and many other animals, diseases will spread to areas never seen before, and rising sea levels could cause problems for living societies and wildfires to its environment and its population. One degree of temperature across the entire surface of the Earth means huge changes in climate extremes. Overview As people and humans living on Earth, we must conserve and protect the planet we live on. One of the ways we survive and one way we live as humans is to consume and feed on animals. Animals reflect the way we live, an animal like the sea turtle loses its habitat; such as coral reefs and seagrass beds due to climate change. The main threat to polar bears is the loss of their sea ice habitat due to global warming. The effects of global warming on polar bears are decreasing polar bear population size, rapid separation of sea ice shelves, and middle of paper...... wildlife/global warming/ effects on -Wildlife-and-Habitat.aspx>."Global warming and wildfires."
