Have you ever known someone with an ulterior motive? Or maybe someone tricked you so you could do their dirty work? What if this person used your loyalty to them to make you their slave? In Animal Farm, an allegorical book by George Orwell, many animals are made to become the faithful slaves of an all-powerful pig named Napoleon. All but a few of the farm animals were put into Napoleon's cruel hooves without even realizing it, and therefore should have learned to check before becoming loyal. As the story begins, Napoleon begins to show his motivations to the readers. , but animals still feel like animalism continues to thrive. When the animals realized that the rations were decreasing, Squealer lied and said that it seemed so, and that times were even better than they had been with Mr. Jones.
