In conservative Pakistani society, sex tops the list of subjects that are widely shunned and considered taboo. Globalization, which has led to widespread domination of Western culture and promotion of freedom of expression, has proven essential in breaking this age-old taboo and sparking the controversial debate on sex education in Pakistan.
