  • Essay / Overpopulation: the only real environmental problem

In the current society in which we live, we are faced with countless environmental problems, such as global warming, fishing, pollution and many other issues of the same kind. These problems have deteriorated our environment and caused physical and economic problems. Yet, among all the problems that affect our world on a daily basis, overpopulation is proven to be one, if not the biggest problem in our environment, which is only getting worse with time, especially due to rapid growth of the human population. population and the limited resources remaining on earth that we absolutely need to meet our growing population. Even systems ecologist Dr. Charles A. Hall states that “overpopulation is the only problem.” If we had 100 million people on Earth or, better yet, 10 million, no more would be a problem. » Which helps prove that overpopulation is a major problem that we must act against if we want to save our world. Overpopulation is a very important reason why the current environmental state is in such a critical state. Among the problems that overpopulation contributes to are global warming, water shortages, ocean depletion, and even food shortages. Another major effect of global overpopulation is acid rain, which can be caused by air pollution. Air pollution is usually created by the burning of fossil fuels found in planes, cars and trucks. So, by burning fossil fuels and deforesting, Earth ends up raising gas levels in the greenhouse. This then creates a significant increase in air quality and begins to warm the earth, which could potentially lead to many dangerous effects such as ozone depletion. Also, ...... middle of paper ...... which increases to get worse every year, month, day, hour, minute and second. The consequences of overpopulation could even result in making Earth no longer livable and forcing us to look for another planet to reside on. This is a problem that will require the efforts of all members of our population to resolve and make it less threatening. it's now. Hopefully we realize the effects that overpopulation can have on our world and its inhabitants, and find a way to solve the problem. However, based on my research, the effects of overpopulation seem inevitable and will sooner or later take shape.
