    Every day, children go to school and learn many valuable skills that are undoubtedly beneficial to their young people around the world. It is a fact that young people learn a lot not only academically but also through interaction with their peers. However, some experiences such as bullying can potentially lead to serious negative long-term effects. Unfortunately, society views bullying as an inevitable part of schooling as well as a natural process of growing up. Bullying has now become an unavoidable part of school life. The rapid growth of Internet technology has allowed bullying to flourish and thus created a much bigger and worse problem in modern society. Bullying has been a problem in our society for decades. Even if the problem seems almost inevitable, it is urgent to find a solution to avoid new victims. The research paper will mainly focus on the different types of bullying, the antecedents of bullying, prevention methods, and the effects on the victim's health. The word “bully” is defined as: “a braggart, quarrelsome, and authoritarian person who habitually harasses and intimidates smaller children. or weaker people” (“Bully”). Bullying can be mainly divided into traditional bullying and cyber bullying. There are three main types of traditional harassment: verbal harassment, social harassment and physical harassment. First, verbal bullying occurs when a person uses language to offend or gain power over their peer. Some of the main examples of verbal bullying would be teasing, name calling, taunting, and sexual harassment. Another traditional form of bullying is social bullying, which involves harming a person's social reputation or relationships.
