The main development that occurs at school age or concrete operational stage is good moral development (Berk, 2007). Unlike the preoperative phase, children in concrete operation will have no difficulty finding a solution to a problem. Affected by nurture and nature as well as the cognitive domain, a child's moral reasoning will be more advanced because they will follow the rules and know the consequences if they do something wrong. I was only 4 years old when I started school. I used to always cry in front of our school because I don't want my mom to leave me in kindergarten, but if it happened again in middle school, I would react differently because I have developed my moral judgment. Intellectual improvement is not inherited from parents but is believed to be a part of the child's growth. The use of language at this stage is very important for communication. When I was around 9 years old, my cousin taught me English. At that age, I hated English because it's my second language and it's really hard for me to understand it. My cousin invented a game in which we have to speak English for 4 hours and the one who speaks Tagalog (Filipino language) will have to give a candy to the opponent. From my point of view, I thought that if I didn't speak for 4 hours, I would earn more because I could keep the candy for myself. This shows the egocentric discourse of Piaget's theory (Berk, 2007) because I only think about myself and what will happen to me but I did not think that my cousin was playing this game so that I would learn it.
