Such treatment includes the creation of laws that prevent women from exposing their bodies while men are able to do so without shame. The female body is constantly manipulated through the media in an attempt to create the perfect body. With the false image of the perfect female body presented to the public, women attempt to recreate the bodies seen via body modifications such as surgery, self-harm including eating disorders, and body mutilation via bondage feet and genital manipulation. With the intention of solving the problem of the conditioning of the female body, the social movement uses forms of art and protest to get the message across to the public. Although the topic of lack of body shame concerns both genders, the credibility of whether the conditioning of the female mind over the body is really a problem or not.
