The dictionary definition of a zoo is an establishment that maintains a collection of wild animals, usually in a park or gardens, for the purposes of study, conservation or for public display, but the true definition of a zoo is a place where animals are held captive and removed from their natural habitat. Although many people enjoy going to the zoo and seeing all the different animals, they don't understand that animals shouldn't stay in captivity for the rest of their lives. What if we human beings were locked in a cage for all or the rest of our lives? We wouldn't like that, which is why animals shouldn't be treated that way.
