An obvious link would exist between celebrities and the public. When people are overwhelmed by fame and wealth, they get caught up in the crowd and can become addicted to certain substances. When this happens, celebrities get lost in their addiction and create stereotypes such that all rock stars do drugs and drink alcohol. When singers are addicted to something, they frequently reference it in their music which is then transmitted to everyone in society. Celebrities and singers are also role models for young children and Justin Bieber is an unfortunate example. Police searched his home and "instead of seeing egg beaters scattered around the house, the first thing Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies saw were two large cookie jars filled with marijuana, in plain sight ". When people like Justin Bieber abuse alcohol or drugs like these, it affects the way young children perceive these things and they often decide that it's okay to do the same thing as their role model. When these children grow up with such role models, the future seems scary. The actions and choices we all make now will affect the future
