  • Essay / Personal Values and Spirituality - 1395

I am fortunate to have realized my faith in God during the early years of my life and life's experiences have only strengthened my faith; I was born and raised in a small town in India and my primary education up to the first cycle took place in a Christian and Catholic school, the Convent of Jesus & Mary, a congregation founded by Mother Claudine Thevnet who wanted to undertake girls' education in India. It was at school that I first learned about Christianity and my family being Hindu, they shared many of the common values taught at school. Since there was no conflict between my values learned at school and those at home, they only deepened and became an important part of my personality. Because of my upbringing and upbringing, memories of my faith are among my earliest. I believe in the presence of God and I believe that God has bigger plans for me. My upbringing and my family instilled in me values of respect, acceptance and understanding of other members of society. Hinduism taught me to be respectful and tolerant of others, it taught me that I must understand that I am a human and that I am here to serve and help others in need. There have been times when I faced difficult challenges in life and followed the path laid out by God, ignorance disappeared and I found solutions and answers to problems and challenges which I was confronted with. I am very respectful, tolerant and accepting of others. and I am open to understanding different points of view. I believe that my spirituality plays an important role in who I am as a human being, my education and life experiences have instilled in me an ardent love for God and my neighbors, making me an ethically conscious, socially responsible person and spiritually integrated. .... middle of paper ...... this is for me and a great learning for my family, because I would like to see my children be able to think about this. Now that I am a parent, I feel responsible to teach these values to my children as well and the most effective way to teach children values is to live them. Attention to the individual, emphasizing the dignity of each individual. After moving from India to Bismarck, in times of distress, I found comfort in visiting church with my neighbor who was kind enough to let me go with her. My goal then was to pray and be able to connect to God and find peace. For me, what matters most is that I am close to God, what matters most is that I connect to God and can reach Him. Humility gives us a perspective that brings out other Benedictine values. If you wish, I participate in temple activities. because my life is completely linked to prayer.
