John Edwards is a great example of someone who succeeds in his hopes of convincing people. He is able to persuade people, over the course of a 6 hour sermon, to believe in and fear hell. In doing so, he receives several responses, including fear, weakness, and hope. He receives a frightening response as he recounts the many horrors of hell and the horrible wrath of God.
