    It has been said that racial profiling has been used more than once as a means of detaining suspects arousing suspicion according to the NAACP. Racial profiling is suspicion of people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, or other immutable characteristics rather than evidence-based behavior. Even though the statistics say otherwise, racial profiling should not be used as a reasonable right to detain a person because it is illegal, discriminatory and ineffective. Even though the statistics say otherwise, racial profiling is actually a good way to determine whether someone is suspicious or not. . Because of concrete statistical evidence that shows young black and Hispanic men commit a disproportionate number of crimes. Crimes mainly occur in urban neighborhoods or rural areas. If an unidentified ethnic group enters a suburban area, it will arouse the suspicion of law enforcement because this unidentified ethnic group is unknown. And it will appear that the person is causing suspicious activity because it belongs to them. Evidence shows that some racial groups appear more aggressive than others. Racial profiling has resulted in many successful stops and even prevented future crimes. Debatewise.org said racial profiling helped solve illegal immigration problems. Immigration is an increasingly serious problem in the United States, and racial profiling has helped law enforcement prevent the problem from getting worse. Statistics show that Latinos have been stopped and searched without reasonable cause, but of those many arrested, some have been successful. Detaining someone for this reason could result in numerous lawsuits against law enforcement itself. Discrimination should never be a tool in the legal process.
