Growing up, I was used to only one culture and didn't really know the others. But going to school and interacting with other children, whether on the soccer field or in the playground, I was surrounded by many different cultures. Now, as I get older and really think about what I want to do with my life, I realize that I need to become a diverse person because these days our society is becoming more diverse than ever. Since I decided to study and eventually become a teacher, I need to experience all kinds of cultures because in my classroom I need to be able to accept and understand all the children I will interact with on a daily basis .
