With the recent economic crisis, ethical business practices have been thrust into the spotlight as a vital area in which businesses need to improve. Good business ethics are vital for economic growth and progress as well as facilitating a productive and morally correct society. The United States has recently experienced significant economic declines, the most significant of which occurred in 2001 and 2008. As questions are asked and some answers given, the image of a big business not caring no middle-class individuals are emerging for the American people. Everyone has a finger to point, and a lot of them are aimed at these big companies. With the fault lying with various financial institutions, people are starting to dig deeper to try to understand the source of the problem. Questions are asked such as: how did this happen? How can we prevent this from happening again? Whose fault is it? How do we recover? I believe that if you go to the root of the problems that arise within these societies, you will find many ethically questionable people. My goal is to begin to understand how these bad decisions have affected every individual in our great nation, and how a set of good moral values ​​and good ethical decisions can give rise to a thriving economy.
