In the creation of the United States, many important events occurred. This article aims to highlight a few of these events, including: Magna Carta, Mayflower Compact, Declaration of Independence, Articles of Confederation, and Federalist Documents. Many events in American history helped make the United States a free and independent country. The Declaration of Independence explains in particular the rights and freedoms of Americans. Each document is like a springboard that leads to the next and builds on the previous document. The Magna Carta was the first document in which English subjects forced the English king into power; grant and protect the rights of subjects.
