It means a perspective or translation that can be difficult to explain otherwise and with photography we can see what its meaning was. There are many great photographers who with their photos strike people all over the world and make them feel like they are in that time and place. It shows us the many wonders of this world and the different cultures that we didn't know existed outside of our own. Photography found its way to me and taught me knowledge, inspiration, happiness and showed me the amazing people I know today.
