    The United States Army Special ForcesThe first military establishment was formed before the United States was officially declared a country in an effort to meet the needs of the settlers during the American Revolution. The Army's mission is to fight and win the nation's wars by achieving rapid and sustained land dominance through a full range of military operations. Although the history of the US military is deeply rooted in the country's history, the implementation of the US Special Forces Operations Unit is relatively young: it was established in May 1952 and has only was announced to the public only in 1954. In an effort to enforce the Army's mission, the Special Forces Operations Unit was initially created to assist in psychological warfare, but morphed into several units elite, including the Rangers, the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions, Delta Force and perhaps the most famous "Green Berets". These units are the most highly trained enlisted soldiers who make up the men and women who secure, ensure and defend the freedoms upon which this country was founded. All national governments, including the United States, deal with information collected by intelligence services and special military operations. which must remain secret and are described as clandestine by officers and leaders of the army. When a target is considered clandestine, it ignores the operation. These covert operations are classified under the broader category of irregular warfare and have been identified more recently by the Department of Defense (DOD). DOD Directive 3000.07 (December 2008) classified irregular warfare into five distinct categories: counterinsurgency, counterterrorism, foreign internal defense, stability operations, and unconventional...... middle of paper .... .. domestic war and US Army Special Forces.
