The Enron scandal was mainly about how these people who were supposed to be the smartest people in the world who made a stock company make so much money by lying and stealing money money to customers. The company has used many ways to increase its inventory and try to keep it there. They tried way beyond what they could achieve and the company failed and collapsed when Jeff Skilling resigned as CEO and Chairman of Enron. The former CEO of Enron was born on November 25, 1953 in the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Jeff Skilling is a graduate of Harvard and Southern Methodist University, where he received a Bachelor of Applied Science degree and an MBA from Harvard University. Since Enron started, he started working there and became the Chief Operating Officer of Enron, which would soon lead him to become well known as the CEO and Chairman of Enron. When he graduated from Harvard, he worked for McKinsey at a company that did energy and chemistry consulting which would soon lead him to work at Enron where he was hired by Kenneth Lay. Jeff Skilling had a pretty well-organized life that led him to become a well-known person working for Enron and being the president of that company. When Kenneth Lay hired Jeff Skilling from McKinsey, he made Jeff chairman and CEO of Enron because of the good qualities he demonstrated at his previous company. It was in 1991 that Jeff Skilling became the chairman of Enron's gas company, which slowly led to the year 1997 where he later became the CEO and chairman of Enron. This is when he advocated for a good investment strategy that would allow the Enron company to become popular and make money in the end if this strategy worked.
