Background to the Ethical Decision-Making Model Thanks to the Josephson Institute of Ethics, I have summarized the background to the ethical decision-making model I have chosen. to make my decision related to my work. I will also show through two very similar sources the steps necessary to make ethical decisions. The Josephson Institute (2006) offers a seven-step path to better decisions. In describing each of the steps, the Josephson Institute of Ethics (2006) states that “the first is to stop and think before reacting with a decision. The second is to clarify your goals, to clarify what you want and what you don’t want.” The third thing is to determine the facts of the issues at hand by making sure that you have all the information necessary to determine all the facts. The fourth thing is to develop options, a set of options that you want. achieve your goals.
