It coincides with our basic human desire to conform to some extent to the laws that govern our society. In order to move toward gender equality, society must weaken gender beliefs favoring men, but not so much that they become disfavored gender beliefs. The fact that political education on sexual harassment is becoming commonplace, through the threat to companies to comply with federal law, requires every worker to keep in mind these gender beliefs and the repercussions of a persistent sexual discrimination. However, this practice can also backfire and result in female workers being seen as inferior because they need legal protection through such policies. This can lead to frivolous cases of sexual harassment in almost every country.
