When someone drives through a city, what can they see? Buildings, billboards and signs can come to mind. What might they see on buildings, billboards and signs? Logo designs and logo ideas have always evolved and changed over time and many businesses choose to modernize into the culture of the times they are in by changing and tweaking their logo to make it more appealing . Pepsi followed a different path than Apple and Volkswagen. As noted above, companies tend to modernize and brighten up their logos (Volkswagen, Apple) or go the route Pepsi took by toning down the logo, if you will, with simple line art. Many different companies besides the three mentioned above. change their logos from time to time. Rebranding is a natural part of running a business and many different people do it. You can also see the two trends businesses have when rebranding: making the logo glow to give it a futuristic look, or turning the logo into a simple line drawing to give it a simpler shape. The three companies mentioned above clearly show these two re-branding trends when looking at logo developments. Logos, like the companies they represent, evolve and change.
