    This section examined openDemocracy, a news site that attempted to be an unaffiliated global news site that could generate global public opinion . The idea that the entire world population could express their opinions on a single site was extraordinarily optimistic and short-sighted. However, the idea that public opinion can be assessed through new media is important. I think we are moving towards a world where all of our democratic decisions will be made online. We already put a lot of our personalities on the web and advertisers are quickly using that information.
