  • Essay / Questionnaire Analysis - 1642

ObjectivesIn this part of my essay, the results of the questionnaire are presented. The aim of this part is to get a complete idea of people's opinions regarding vampires and their images. I'm curious which vampire people today prefer and which characteristics are most well-known; the classic type or the modern type. I would also like to know what literary works and films have people heard about keeping vampires and to what extent this knowledge is related to age and gender. This investigation is divided into three parts; the first part contains personal information, the second part is about the respondent's general knowledge about literary works, which includes vampires, and the last part is about ordinary people's opinions and experiences about vampirism. Overall, my goal is to find out; are the problems presented in the first chapter as serious as they are often said?Participants, data and analysisTo get an accurate picture, I gave the opportunity to all age groups who are interested in this topic or who wish to express their opinion on vampire literature, to answer questions. To tell the truth, the results of the first question, in which I asked the age of the people interviewed, seem quite surprising to me. Before the survey, I expected that most teenagers or young adults would be ready to open a questionnaire titled "The influence of vampires on today's society." However, the youngest respondent was twelve years old, but the oldest was seventy-three. I divided the participants into four age groups. The first group is made up of adolescents aged twelve to nineteen years old. The next group includes young adults aged nineteen to twenty-five. The third age group is between... middle of paper... nor books. In my opinion, this result is disappointing because at least the name Dracula should be part of the basic knowledge. Otherwise, these teens definitely agree that at least one vampire novel should be required reading in school, but I'm sure they only associate with modern romantic fantasy books. On the other hand, men tend to be skeptical on this subject. Six of the eight male responses in this survey present negative responses and express how much they dislike vampires of these centuries, but the tone and responses of the other two male respondents are also neutral. However, they may find themselves in a difficult situation because, according to the responses of adolescent girls and young adults, the phenomenon of vampirism has increased expectations of men. Unfortunately, it can also cause huge disappointments for young women when they experience real life..
