  • Essay / Learning to drive: a short story - 733

The worst part is that we live on a high street so it can be quite busy, luckily no cars were passing or stopping at the lights. I hit the brake quickly and of course I was yelled at and blamed, but I told my mom it was her fault for telling me the car was rolling and I also blamed the car for being old. Typical me. Of course everyone on the porch was laughing at me and my nephews and niece also came out and were there watching what was happening. After that I put the car in drive, this time it was running so I did one thing right. When it came to putting the car in the driveway, for me, I barely stepped on the gas, but it didn't. how things went. When I stepped on the accelerator, the wheels started to make a screeching noise and the car moved forward very quickly. We also have a truck parked in the driveway, so when the car started moving towards it, I turned the wheel and almost drove into the neighbor's fence. I pushed the break-in time and was able to turn the steering wheel to avoid hitting both the truck and the vehicle.
