Essay / Making Homemade Cupcakes - 808
Is it a special occasion or someone's birthday? Why don't you make them something special? Take the time to make homemade cupcakes. Making cupcakes yourself costs less than buying store-bought cupcakes and you have the flexibility to prepare them however you want. The first thing you'll need to do is give yourself about an hour and a half in the kitchen. Once you've decided to make cupcakes, you need to gather your materials. You will need a box of cake mix that you purchased at the grocery store. On the back of the box is a list of ingredients you will need. You will need to make sure you have these ingredients before you begin the cupcake making process. You will need water, vegetable oil, eggs (at least three), measuring cup, mixer, spoon, bowl, cupcake stands, a cupcake mold and a pair of scissors. Gather all of these materials on your kitchen counter so they are readily available when needed. After collecting your ingredients, look on the back of the cake box to see what temperature you will need to preheat your oven to. Look under the section for twenty-four cupcakes. Once you know the specified temperature, go to the oven, turn it on and preheat it to the specified temperature. While the oven is preheating, open the box of cake mix. Take out the bag of cake mix, carefully cut a slit in the top of the bag with scissors and pour it into the bowl. You can start collecting all your trash in the box to keep your mess to a minimum. Once the mixture is in the bowl, look on the box to see how much water you will need. Go to the sink, turn on the faucet and measure the required amount of water into the measuring cup. Turn off the fau...... middle of paper ...... Place the pans on top of the oven and close the oven door. Let the cupcakes cool for fifteen to twenty minutes. Once cooled, remove the individual cupcakes from the pan and place them on the counter. Open the can of icing, place the knife into the icing, take some icing on the knife and spread it evenly on the cupcake. You will need to repeat this for all the cupcakes. Once all the cupcakes are frosted, go to your cupboard with your plates in it and take out a large plate. Place all your cupcakes on site. Open the sprinkles and sprinkle lightly over all the cupcakes. Now that you've finished making your cupcakes, you can either gift them to someone special or enjoy them yourself. They're that special treat you've been looking for and they taste even better knowing you made them all yourself..
