Essay / Columbine Massacre Essay - 1300
The Columbine Massacre on the day no one is safe in school or outside of school. The Columbine massacre involved two students named Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris, both 17 years old. Two weeks before graduation, they killed 12 students, a teacher, and injured 21 in their shooting spree on April 20, 1999. Dylan and Eric both thought they were bullied by their school's sports teams, so they planned to kill people who intimidated them and especially anyone who got in their way, but that wasn't really why the FBI said the target was everyone, no one was pacifying us. I won't go into more details now. Dylan and Eric were both smart boys with strong parents and a good home and both had brothers younger than them. They played football, baseball and both enjoyed working on computers. Both boys considered committing suicide in 1997, but instead began planning a massacre in 1998, a year before it happened. Then the two boys had gotten into trouble for breaking into a van on January 30, 1998, trying to steal fuses and wires to make bombs, but they got into trouble. So the court put them in a program called juvenile diversion program but even though they were there they were still planning the massacre and the court also put Eric in anger management classes and people believe that that worked, but it doesn't. it looked like it was working and both boys looked like they were really sorry, but that wasn't the case. Dylan and Eric both really hated everyone at their school and in court after they were caught breaking into that van, that's when they really started planning more for the massacre and that's when Harris started his journals, no one really knows how but they did it. I don't hate a hand... in the middle of paper...... it's just to get help from students and teachers and once the police tried to go help Sanders, he died of his wounds. So, since the massacre, the government has given $3 billion to schools for zero talruos so that schools will check students for any weapons or weapons that could harm students and with that, after the Columbine massacre, the rate Student mortality decreased from 1999 to In 2006, only 10 children died because of other students, so because of the massacre, schools and the government began monitoring more students for any problems that they had or any thoughts of murder or suicide. So that the Columbine massacre never happens again anywhere in America. The massacre was one of the largest student deaths and injuries committed by a student in an American school. So I want to avoid further problems if children's parents experience this kind of pain..
