    The father of accounting, formerly known as Fra Luca Bartolomeo De Pacioli, is very popular today thanks to his work in the 1400s and early 1500s, the era of Italian Renaissance. Born around 1445-1447 in his home in Sansepolcro, Italy, Pacioli had lived a very spontaneous life of constant travel. Pacioli did not live with his father, Bartolomeo Pacioli, but rather with the Befolci family in his hometown. It is unknown why Pacioli did not live with his father, however, Pacioli found himself living his life with ease. Pacioli had received an education at the Studio of Della Francesca, located in Sansepolcro, where he studied mathematics. He eventually left Sansepolcro and ventured to Venice in 1464 where he had educated three sons of a prosperous merchant, Antonio Rompiasi. While giving private lessons, Pacioli had also developed business knowledge. Pacioli's first creation was a text dedicated to Rompiasi's three sons, Summa De Arithmetica, Geometria, Proportioni et Proportionalita, written in 1470.
