Some people may worry that technology is leading the world towards a great disaster. Instead of helping them in some way, technology has affected them negatively. Computer vision syndrome is an example of how technology affects people's bodies. The American Optometric Association defines computer vision syndrome as a group of eye and vision-related problems resulting from prolonged computer use. Many people experience eye discomfort and vision problems when staring at a computer screen for long periods of time (2014). While many people are worried about technology and how it affects their body. Physiologically, there is a real phenomenon that causes people to suffer from computer anxiety (Moldafsky & Kown, 1994). There is a study by Brosnan and Davidson, which shows that a third of the total population suffers from technophobia (1994). Jay states that technophobia is a resistance to talking about or even thinking about computers. Additionally, Technophobia is a hostile or aggressive thought toward computers (1981). Moving towards social life, it has been affected by technology and the emergence of the Internet. It has been found that the more time people spend using the Internet; the more they lose contact with their social environment. The more people use the Internet for hours; the less time they spend with real human beings (Nie and Erbring, 2005). It is true that technology has had a negative effect on people in some circumstances; However, its advantages outweigh its disadvantages. Physically, computer vision syndrome can be avoided through correct sitting posture, good visual distance, and soft lighting of the computer screen (Computer Vision Syndrome, 2014).
