The right to a fair trial and to counsel is a fundamental issue under Amendment Six of the Constitution of the United States of America and is what makes of the law a reality after the decisions rendered by the court. The accused also has the right within the jury to confront before him witnesses who are against him and then has the privilege of seeking his own witnesses who will testify on his behalf.
