This makes it important for the learner to learn a language gradually allowing them to master each word without making major errors during its use. This is especially important when considering that the syntax of a language differs from that of English, causing many sentences to adopt the opposite structure. It is therefore important that second language learners first take the time to learn how to place words which would then translate the correct way. Not understanding the word and grammar can lead to major complications and cause the learner to have bad experiences with native speakers, which can lead to serious complications (Halliday 1970). According to Halliday's approach combining both practical expression and communication as well as participation in theoretical lessons are very important to improve learners' understanding of the syntax of the language, thus allowing them to begin practicing to reorganize the work in order to adapt it to the native way of speaking a second language.
