  • Essay / How privatization is used in the education system

The main focus of education in the UK could be changing. With the privatization of the education system, it has been suggested that the purpose of education is increasingly structured economically rather than socially (Kassem and Garratt, 2009). As part of this assignment, the author will examine what exactly privatization is, how it is used in the education system, and how marketization can work in this complex system. Originally, the market was a palace where people often came to buy and sell items. to make a profit. Buyers want maximum satisfaction from the product they purchase and sellers want to find the best way to make a profit, while ensuring that the quality they provide to buyers is second to none. However, when there is an increase in demand in production costs, the supplier must find money from another source in order to meet the demand, this often leads to a decline in quality in d other aspects. Suppliers must also keep pace with their competitors and keep prices as low as possible while competing to maintain the same quality. Sellers want their customers to be happy with the product that they keep coming back and telling other people about your product. The market is specifically about choice, you have the choice to enter the market and you have the choice of where you want to buy your products. But what is the link between this conception of the market and the privatization of education? It has been suggested that by providing choice and competition, the quality of teaching would improve. So by introducing education into the market we can therefore start providing school services at the lowest prices and the children will be better suited to their type of school...... middle of paper .... ..' in Lauder, H., Brown, P.
