By branching out from its search engine, Google is now venturing into self-driving cars and space balloons that act as Internet routers for hard-to-reach people. One of their revolutionary initiatives at the time was a smartphone operating system (OS), Android. The report will thus study the role of venture capital in maintaining Google's relevance in today's volatile business environment, focusing on the Android OS business. It will also examine how a large global organization like Google manages risks to ensure the success of its projects, acquires the human capital needed to manage things, and how to formulate innovative solutions in times of uncertainty.
