    They both talk about their insecurities, but not in the same way. As said before, Plath uses more figurative language and Lovato is simpler. Lovato can be classified as more modern, and this might appeal to the public. In “Mirrors” and “Believe in Me,” they both attempt to inspire the audience to overcome their insecurities and accept themselves as they are. Another thing they both touch on is the symbolism of the mirror. Even if they don't see it the same way, they still think it's important.
