In our society, do we still see women as damsels in distress and not as heroes? If we continue to teach little girls that they are meant to be the saved little princess, how will that change the way they pursue their dreams, even if they choose to pursue a man's dream. Do our stereotypes prevent girls from negotiating for themselves because they don't see themselves as the person we portray as a businessman? Women do not negotiate for themselves in the labor market. “A study over the past two years of people entering the workforce after college showed that 57 percent of entering boys, or men, I suppose, negotiate their first salary, and only 7 percent of hundred of women.”
