  • Essay / The Darkest Places of Hell By Dante Alighieri - 1841

Dante Alighieri writes that “the darkest places of Hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis. »1 They say that ignorance is bliss, but ignoring something in the hope that it will resolve itself is not the most appropriate path for everything, especially for things that are within our power. Dante is perhaps a little too vicious in expressing this idea but sums up its urgency perfectly. The current US presidential race could eventually give rise to such a crisis. Americans need to be aware of the consequences if Republican candidate Donald Trump becomes president of one of the most powerful nations in the world. Another approach would be to counter each policy with a fact, for example, the PSA would begin by stating: "Trump wants to ban Muslims in America", below this statement would be a fact contradicting this policy "States -United States would not look at it as it does if it were not for a Muslim, Fazlur Rahman Khan. He pioneered a new structural system of frame tubes that revolutionized the appearance of American cityscapes. The PSA would end with Trump's campaign slogan: "Make America Great Again," but with a question mark at the end prompting the reader to think..
