    What norms and limitations have emerged to make the faces of models different from those of the real audience? When one hears the word “model”, flawless images are normally created in magazines. However, when we hear the word "model", tall, slim and graceful images of women from New York fashion week come to mind. Throughout the history of the fashion world, problems have arisen in the fashion industry. Hidden under the radar, models are often asked to lose weight if they wish to continue working for major fashion industries. Models are also fighting their own battles to get more color on the runway: more ethnicities need to be present. Working for big fashion companies can make models feel insecure and require them to undergo surgeries. Models aren't the cause of the lack of healthy models and diversity on the runway, fashion companies are. Fashion companies have a habit of constantly advertising unusually thin models. While waiting at a doctor's office or in line to check out at the grocery store, the first thing someone reaches for is a magazine. Most women scroll through dozens of pages filled with super slim, flawless women wishing they looked like themselves. The author of “Teen Model Georgina Got so Thin Her Organs Were Failing,” Helen Caroll, wrote about sixteen-year-old Georgina Wilkin who battled anorexia to remain successful. Helen Caroll wrote: "...she survived and now wants to speak out against the modeling industry that almost killed her. She says: 'Everyone should know about the pressure models are under.'
