He was the first member of his family to be educated at Qunu, and it was a missionary school. People reported calling him Nelson because his teacher couldn't pronounce his original name, which is Rolihlaha. After his father died, a man who held a high position in his town adopted Nelson Mandela. His name was Jongintaba, and Mandela learned a lot about becoming a leader from this man. Then he joined the University of Fort Hare, and that was in 1939. It was during this period that he met his friend Oliver Tambo. While at university, they had some political activity. For example, they protested against the university's policies at the time and were therefore expelled from the university. Years later, he received his law degree and certificate from the University of Witwatersand. After graduating, Mandala worked in different places before becoming a member of the African National Congress. In 1944 he married and had children, but in 1958 he divorced his wife Evelyn Mase. After the elections, the African National Congress became stronger and won a big victory. The party thus took power and became famous in Africa. Mandela later became the party's top man before being arrested on charges of armed action against the government. He fought against government policy because they treated people according to ...... middle of paper ......d inside the prison. In 1993, he became president of South Africa after a long journey seeking freedom and equality among his people. Under his rule, his country achieved democratic government without discrimination between whites and blacks. He had never spoken about racism during his presidential term and had never reacted harshly against any racist action. He enjoyed great success in charge of South Africa until he retired due to poor health. Finally, he passed away in 2013, but he remained in our hearts as a strong leader, a peaceful person and a free man. In conclusion, Mandela is a symbol of peace and bringing people together regardless of race, language and religion. Unlike other political leaders in his country who used their power to discriminate and violate human rights, he brought the country to a state of harmony and peace..
