Essay / They are all born this way - 1858
Ignorance and prejudice walk hand in hand; those who ignore other areas of life also harm them. Judging another person for who they are is a narrow approach to life. People in this world are all created differently and society can't seem to accept this fact. There is major controversy surrounding the psychology of homosexual individuals. Whether or not these individuals are created this way is the most wonderful thing. Those who are also quick to judge are quick to become angry, which inhibits their understanding. The thoughts of the ignorant usually arise from inconclusive and unscientific data. It is quite obvious that no one has the power to determine who they are to begin with, either mentally or physically. The human brain cannot be modified enough to make choices, such as sexuality. Much scientific research demonstrates that homosexuality is not a personal preference, but a predisposition. Homosexual individuals are born this way; they made no cognitive choice. Homosexuality doesn't happen overnight, and a person doesn't just wake up and decide to be gay. Scientists believe that homosexuality is a predisposition; one that can be found as early as the developmental years of an adolescent's childhood, male or female. Researchers say same-sex differences first become evident to children with whom they most often attend daycares and schools. This psychiatric theory suggests that even if children do not understand the precise meaning of homosexuality, they can still detect oddities, such as the toys they choose. This extensive psychiatric research proves that children are homosexual from the start (Homosexuality 1). This...... middle of article ......e doesn't understand this research. Maybe one day everyone will realize that there are many predispositions in people, and homosexuality is one of them.
