Ironically, stereotypes about transgender people were relatively neutral, neither negative nor positive. However, they remain at the top of the list when it comes to harassment. Society generally views transgender people as “confused” lesbians or gays even though their gender identity is a separate issue from their sexual orientation. Notably, transgender people are treated in the community entirely differently than non-transgender people. They publicly harass them, deny them a house or apartment and medical assistance because of their lifestyle. Christians believe that the gender you are “born” classifies individuals as male or female. In other words, changing the body to another gender only creates an imitation of a man or woman, but it will never be the real one.
